The BES Institute of Pharmacy is one of many educational institutions established and managed by Bharath Education Society. It came into existence in 1985-86.
The student before appearing to the qualifying examination should have satisfactorily attended the course and have not less than 75% of the attendance, separately, in Theory and Practical of each of the subject.
There shall be 3 such periodical sessional examinations during the year conducted by the institution. The average of the highest aggregate of the minimum 2 performances shall be sent ot Board of Examining authority. Theory & Practical examinations 20% of the total marks for each subject.
The first qualifying examination i.e, D.Pharm Part I examination will at be at the end of the academic year. The second d qualifying examination i.e D.Pharm Part- II examination will be at the end of the second year of the course.
Standard of Passing The Examination
A student shall not be declared to have passed the above examination unless He/ She secures at least 40% marks in each subject (including sessional marks)
After final examination of the course a candidate shall be eligible to undergo the practical training in an Institution / Hospital/ Pharmacy recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India. The practical training period shall be not less than 500 hours spread over a period of not less than 3 months.

Should have passed II PUC Science like PCMB/PCMC/PCME or 10+ 2 (Intermediate) PCB/PCM or Any other qualification accepted by the pharmacy council of India (PCI) as equivalent to any of the above qualification.
